Description |
Serial Number (Bodensee Database): 5915. Notes from Bodensee Database: Double Beam Monochromator Spectrophotometer. World's first commercial echelette grating spectrophotometer. See also [Bodensee] #132 [2002.003.197]: Electrometer 310 was readout for Model 10. A: Spectrophotometer Wooden rectangular box with a black-coated metal top/surface; front of box has a black-coated metal circular grated opening for device exhaust/ventilation; back side of box has a similar opening, only rectangular in shape; right side of box has a small rectangular door secured by a metallic hook latch; inside door is a rectangular storage space (currently empty); top of box has device's instrumentation; six black plastic knobs are in the center; two metal switches are to the left; three supports with removable screws to attach electrodes, etc., are on the right; a rectangular indentation in the right corner houses B (see below); at the top in the middle is an indented display screen which displays the top knob's numeric value; two sets of wires emanate from a circular hole on the box bottom; one black wire is the plug; the other has one red and one black wire raveled together with metallic connector hoops at their ends.; bottom of box has four black plastic supports at each corner. B: Two Beakers and Case Black plastic rectangular case; removable black plastic top that can be snapped into place; case has two cylindrical indentations for two glass beakers that sit within it; casing has two openings at its bottom to view bottom of beakers |
