Description |
Cardboard box whose top opens upward and is connected to the box bottom; box bottom has a yellow cardboard insert with specific labeled compartments for each tool; along the top of the insert is a gray plastic optical bench with holders for mirrors and glass slides; in the top right corner is a large glass lightbulb in a black cardboard frame which serves as a heat source; below the lightbulb is a stainless steel circular disk which is a solar heat reflector; in the bottom right corner is a row of three glass corked bottles; one bottle is an alcohol lamp and the other two have metallic-looking compounds; next to the row of bottles is a clear square of plastic which is the index plate; above the index plate is an empty glass flask; above the flask is a ring stand, which is a black plastic holder supporting a clear plastic prism; to the left of the ring stand is a plastic container with the following inside: seven pieces of glass tubing; four pieces of pink rubber insulator; two gray rubber tube holders; and three stainless steel brackets; in the middle of the insert is an instruction book; to the left of the instruction manual, in the bottom left corner of the box, are the following tools: a steel container with a light source inside; stainless steel tongs; glass pipette, glass beaker with half a dozen balloons; glass tube corked on both ends; glass thermometer with a rubber holder that can be secured to a surface via a suction cup; and three long pieces of glass tubing; a 12-inch wooden ruler sits next to the cardboard insert on the left side; the following components were in a plastic bag and appear to be for use on the optical bench: six circular flat plastic discs, three black, one red, one blue, and one green; two clear circular plastic lenses; a circular mirror with a black plastic support arm, two rectangular mirrors; one rectangular piece of translucent plastic; and one white piece of fabric. |
