Description |
This bird's eye aerial view of Paris by lithographer Marie-Hilaire Guesnu (1802-1880) shows the Bois de Boulogne, a large park located in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, on the western edge of the city. The park was conceived by Napoleon III and Georges-Eugène Haussmann as part of the reconstruction of Paris and was built between 1852 and 1858. |
