Description |
Wooden box painted red with white speckled paint design; case opens on a hinge to reveal nine (9) test tubes on left containing: sodium iodide solution, bleaching powder, sodium salicylate, cobalt chloride, ferric ammonium sulfate, sodium bisulfite, mixed dyes, calcium oxide and sodium bisulfate. Also included on left is a wooden rod, the Chemcraft Chemical Magic manual, four (4) packets of litmus paper, and a Chemcraft fact sheet. On right side there are fifteen (15) glass jars with cork stoppers containing: sulfur, trisodium phosphate, trisodium phosphate, sodium carbonate, sodium ferrocyanide, ammonium chloride, aluminum sulfate, nickel ammonium sulfate, tannic acid, sodium thiosulfate, sodium silicate solution, phenolphthalein, manganese sulfate, azurite, powdered iron. Blue wooden test tube rack holds three test tubes, one glass rod, and a packet of litmus indicator paper. |

Materials belonged to donor's father, James E. Esposito, who graduated from LaSalle College in 1959 with a degree in chemistry and worked as a chemist with Amchem Products, Inc. in Ambler, PA (from 1960-1981). Set was collected by him as an adult. |
