Michael Faraday (1791-1867) English physicist and chemist most famous for his contributions to the understanding of electricity and electrochemisty. Handwritten note with print: "-notice that the publisher of this Faraday engraving is the same as the publisher of the Liebig engraving. But I don't recall Faraday being in the book of engravings by Johnson Wilson & Company." |
