Front: Postcard featuring a hand-drawn illustrated depiction of French politicians Léon Gambetta (1838-1882) and Eugène Spuller (1835-1896) fleeing Paris via hot air balloon during the Franco-Prussian War. This postcard is part of a set originally collected in a scrapbook entitled Album Gravures et Cartes-Postales: Vieux Paris Types Petits Métiers et Cris De La Rue (1909). Verso: Addressed to (stamped): "Monsieur Louis DASPET / 177, Rue Saint-Honore, 177 / PARIS" |
