Description |
A gaily-dressed alchemist in a sash and feathered cap holds up a glass vial to the viewer, smiling broadly. Other glass bottles, vials, and earthenware jars sit on the table at his side and the shelf on the rear wall. Though the workroom is humble, the alchemist's fine clothes suggest his work may have been successful- or else that he is a flashy fraud. |
