Description |
Nondescript cardboard box whose top opens upward and is connected to the box bottom via a black ribbon on the left side; box bottom has six separate black cardboard boxes with gold cardboard inserts; the box that runs the width of the box bottom has ten corked glass test-tubes with the following inside: ammoniac, wood, feathers, fish scales, a honey bee, mixed fibers, and four bottles with mixes of rock and dirt; the middle box stores the microscope, which has a black cast-iron base and support arm and a steel viewing tube; the two compartments to the left of the microscope have a row of 10 glass slides, a glass speciment collection jar, and a cylindrical red cardboard container of lens tissue; the two compartments to the right of the microscope have 10 glass slides, 2 of which are smaller due to having been broken, two glass pipettes, and a steel poking stick. |
