Description |
Jules Arnout (1814-1868) was a French lithographer who executed landscape views of cities in France, England, Italy, and Switzerland, many of which were based on his own sketches and drawings. This print shows Paris and its fortifications, seen from a hot air balloon at the top of Mount Valerien. Another hot air balloon is visible in the far distance. |
